WOW thanks everyone! 1, 2 and 4 seem a perfect match and I will do some investigating of anemones to narrow down number 3. Fantastic! Now I can find out what I need to do with them each year to keep them healthy and looking lovely.
I feel very lucky - I'm more of a veg growing person myself so probably would have resented spending money on flowering things in a new garden, so it's great that there's so much stuff already there. We also have various pelargoniums/geraniums everywhere, a rambling rose, something with pink flowers trying to climb, viburnum buddleia and other taller bushes that are starting to flower. it's so exciting seeing everything come out!0 -
Hey just to add - my MIL has identified number 3 as Anenome sylvestris which looks right with the "nodding" snowdrop flowers which eventually open upright. 4/4!!! (until some new ones start showing their faces, I'll be back...)0
