I thought that spotify - even if you pay the monthly subscription and download that you cant then burn to cd or put on ipod? As everyone would do that....? I might be wrong though. I believed the subscription was just for advert free music.

I think that with a subscription you can download the songs, but if your subscription runs out, they're not playable anymore iyswim.

So, you're downloading them instead of streaming them but once your sub ends, if you don't renew it, then they can't be played without streaming anymore.

I was first to post about downloading and felt bad but after reading the thread it made me laugh as bad as bounty debates lol

i would advise amazon places like that that do deals either free download or pay pennies for a track always see them on there, ask about friends mayahve the cds or if theres a cd out there with a few of the songs on buy it if you dont want to 'illegally' dowload. (some providers like bt etc can flag you on downloading illegally)

There is a website called mp3fiesta that has tracks for about 20 cents, but I don't know how legal they are.

Find the songs on youtube and convert them to MP3. (Just google youtube convert to MP3)

I know it's illegal but it's not the crime of the century is it?

I download songs myself and don't pay ~ I already have most of the songs on CD, but instead of burning all my CDs, I make my own compilations from the downloaded songs.

For those who don't agree with that, shoot me ;)

Napster do a £15/month deal where you can download as much music as you want, but be aware that you can't copy them onto CDs and it doesn't work with iPods.

Also, have you looked at tunechecker.com? That finds the cheapest prices for MP3s and most can be copied onto iPods.

Are you able to take a laptop rather than use a CD and CD player?

If so, make your playlist on Spotify, and your away. I would suggest you join up and don't use the free membership though, as you will probably get adverts between songs if using the free version?

If you're not that bothered about legal/illegal, try uTorrent...

Why don't you contact your DJ and say to him you'll give him an extra tenner if he puts all the songs you want for the daytime onto a few CD's for you. It's worth asking
