can anyone please recommend an Online HIP supplier?

Hi everyone, my apologies if this has been asked before, but in searching I couldn't find anything too recent.

Has anyone recently used an online HIP supplier that they can recommend? I got mine done through my agent (being none-the-wiser at the time) but since I've found this site, I am better informed :)

It's for my brother and I told him I'd check to see as am sure he can save some money doing it online rather than paying the agents £300+ vat? They told him it was fine to use someone else, but did say they take ages through online companies (which I don't believe entirely, and bro isn't in any huge rush anyway, so why not save money?)

Thanks for your help in advance :)

When Hips were first introduced, David Cameron immediately said that if the Tory Party were elected they would cancel this stupid idea. I trust he hasn’t forgot.
Frankly I am amazed that anyone would accept a seller’s statement that a property is OK. There is a well trotted out phrase “Buyer Beware” (usually in Latin) and it certainly applies to a costly purchase like buying a house.
House seekers with any sense will always do their own checks before considering a purchase.
Trying to learn something new every day.

Whether a buyer likes it or not, solicitors always do the searches again, provng what a complete waste of time. money & effort a hip is!

Whether we like them or not, at present we do have to provide a HIP. Now unless we want to wait for Mr. Cameron et al. to decided whether they want to scrap it or not, we're just gonna have to get on with it unfortunately :S I personally don't want to wait to see if £300 odd (or whatever the max is for a HIP these days) will be saved based on their policies, to prevent a house going on the market sooner rather than later.

    JMHO :)

    Try Pali Ltd -

    Search Hip view in google!

Pali Ltd specialise in conveyancing searches and Home Information Packs and have been established since 1999. We offer an excellent service at competitive prices.

Also with regards to Cameron (Tories & Lib Dems) scraping HIPs, They have to get the legislation through in July to abolish the Hips. There is no way they can do it this year (unless they have magic powers to get the paper work done!) so it will have to be next year, So these people who are now refusing to buy a HIP are going to wait a very long time to put their house on the market.

& Im sure this is not the most important thing to do on there list to do! so scrapping HIPs will be the last thing on the list :)
    Help me!

Mass generalisation, and in my experience completely untrue.
