Just a light vent because I never got my reduced fillet steaks today
I was in asda today and walking by the reduced section I noticed a a whole lot a meat had been reduced to very tempting prices. I went to pick up a few pieces of meat as I was just going to freeze some items. I managed to get some pork chops and notcied there were fillet steaks reduced too then this lady (I use that word lightly) Just barged me then picked up all 8 packets of them and held them looking at each individual pack. I then asked may I have one like oliver twist as I really wanted one to which I got laughed at and then got an abrupt no.
After that she then cleared the section which annoyed a few others but the assistant says she does that all the time.
Pork Chops it is for sunday Dinner its no fillet steak mind you
The reduced section seems to turn people into animals dog eat dog. Its funny know but the attitude of the lady was a disgrace. People should only be allowed a set amount of reduced items and that makes it fairer for everyone.
Has this happend to anyone else ?

My Dad always complains to me nearly every week about the reduced section at Morrisons, when an assistant places things on the reduced rack or put on the reduced stickers they get swamped by people trying to grab anything, even things they don't want that other people would be more grateful for. But, I have to say I've never seen anything like this happen before, ever!Male.

In our local tesco's its like a fight to the bleeding death on the reduced section. I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't nearly always the posh 'older' lady who then goes out to her brand new 4X4 (probably explains why she is rich and I am not
)
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
They should have several reduced fridges around the store and not let you know which one will be filled and in what order. The man without a signature.0

In our store, we reduce all the meat dated that day in the morning, but we have one woman who waits outside the doors to get in at least half an hour before we open to get it all. she has one of these old folks shopper trolleys and blocks the aisle. she takes all the meat and we've had so many complaints.
we now reduce around lunchtime to stop her nabbing it all. she's not a happy bunny now!:rotfl:0 -
Last year our old Asda was replaced by a new Asda. On the day that the old shop shut it was common knowledge that all of the fresh and frozen food was to be reduced. It was pandemonium!!! People were stealing things from other people's trolleys and just grabbing handfuls of everything. They didn't even reduce most items by that much.
It's an experience that I'll never forget and one that I don't want to go through again. All for a couple of slabs of cheese and some bread buns as I wasn't brave enough to venture any further.0 -

i would have loved to see her face,
ive still not fathomed it out why people act like this, it isnt needed at all but yet it still happens, to be honest if i was still in retail i would put anything going out of date in a secure trolley and remove it from the shelves and reduce it out the back and once done bring it back out whilst wearing an armoured suit and put the food back onto the shelves. I do commend the staff who have to put up with people acting this way. A former colleague of mine was very strict when doing reductions, wish id used some of her ideas0 -
our local tescos has a reduced counter.. it is next to the sausage counter....
well!!! should you dare to want to get a pack of yummy chicken sausages just after the reduced shelf has been stacked!!!!!
I have bruises on back of legs to show for it!!!
