Leaving Orange... well, trying to anyway!
Help! Orange won't let me leave the network!!
I've been an Orange customer for three years now and am looking to close my contract as I have found much cheaper deals around that they don't seem too keen to match...
However, since I upgraded early after my last 18 month period, the final 3 months were added to the end of my current 18 month contract period taking me up to August 2010. I'm trying to opt out early which I can apparently do after paying a £65 'disconnection fee' which sounds steep but will work out cheaper than the nearly £200 it will cost me to stay with them until August!
I've enquired about receiving a PAK (?) code too which I hear enables me to take my number to another network but somehow this will cost more and will take me into another new month which will add more discrepancies to the fee I'll have to pay to leave.
I'm eagerly awaiting any advice on what I can do regarding disconnecting as quickly and as cheap as possible, as my new bill date is only 8 days from now and I REALLY don't want to be starting a new month with them!!!!!!!!
Many thanks

I 'think' looking at the info you've given that they'll disconnect you for £65, but if want your pac code you'll have to pay the early termination fee and the remaining months on the contract.
Depends on how much you want to keep your old number ?0 -
Why would it cost £200 to stay with them till august, thats a high contract your on, could you downsize0
