New Orange contract, old one not finished

My current contract with Orange is currently eligible for a phone upgrade or plan, however it still has a couple of months left to run. The phone I got with it is just about finished, so I'm using an old one.

I've seen a better contract offering the new version of the phone I had. It costs more per month and is for longer, but still looks attractive to me. Would I be able to end my current contract now and switch to this one?

you can upgrade 3 months early (although however many days you have of your current contract would be added to the new contract) but you might not be able to get the same deal as you've seen call them and check
if they wont offer you the same deal you can apply as a new customer, it means you'll have to either live out your existing contract or pay to end it early but you can't technically keep the same number (it is possible but you'd have to transfer the no out then back again.)

Your best deals come if you do not upgrade but wait until the end.
