Wait for cashback or Refer a friend scheme from O2 Broadband

Just go our phone line connected and was ready to order O2 via Quidco, and to my surprise there is none - "temporary withdrawn". How likely it is that it will be restored in a matter of days ?
Otherwise I was considering using their Refer-a-Friend scheme, can't see anything in the terms that may prevent your partner, living at the same address, from referring you. Can someone confirm this please ?

no, it is notAll my life my mother told me the storm was coming (c) Terminator 30 -
I've read the T&Cs and can't see anything about the referrer being an o2 user of any kind (though MAYBE they need an o2 network mobile phone #?) and as you say you could blag 2 x £20 for the family/household/friends. One thing you COULD do to be sure is ASSUMING you have a current broadband service you plan to MAC is to NOT give them the MAC until you're sure the 2x£20 seem to be working out!
The most recent & normal level of o2 home broadband £back has been £50, though it has peaked at £75/£100/£125 based on what level of LLU Std/Prem/Pro you went for.
So £40 via the scheme is ALMOST as good as the £50 recently - ie not much point in crying over spilt milk. If you CAN get the LLU packages Std/Prem/Pro you can sign up to them without any likely regrets at atll (unlike the non-LLU Access package where a fair proportion of joiners DO regret it).
As the current o2 offer to EVERY joiner of 3m free runs to the end of the month you could just bide your time for nearly 3 weeks to see if the £back somes back though personally I suspect the BEST £back will probably require you not only to sign for an o2 LLU subscription but ALSO the bolt-on o2 Home Phone (ie where they grab TWO of your "essential" services that they'll TRY to keep for life - eg there's a 30-day moneyback on o2 Home BB but NONE on o2 Home Phone (unless they have just added it)!
I maintain a lot of o2 analyses at:

(A 2.5yr o2 Standard subscriber who's v.happy - though recently went P.O. Home Phone as I'm already 6m into a 12m+ o2 Std contract so no point in committing myself to another 12m of o2 Home Phone (and hence o2 Home BB too)).0
