Keep your petrol tank full

I go through a tank of petrol every two days, and have to admit that if I drive past a petrol station that is cheaper by more than 2p than my local one, I pull in and fill up.
I claim my mileage costs back, so every pence saved at the pump, is a saving for me!
Glad the supermarkets have dropped their prices. :j
Makes me laugh though.. .my local one is 96.9p and one closer to London is 93.9p. Same supermarket, same price they pay for petrol... different price they sell it to us! "Never save something for a special occasion. Every day in your life is a special occasion". _party_0 -
Another consideration is the quality, my van runs on deisel, it doesn't matter where I fill that up it runs just the same, I also have a car that I only fill with Shell Optimax, it just runs really badly on the supermarket stuff, so the car gets filled at Shell only if I have the option.0

Hi Alan,
My car (Subaru) needs to run on Super, as does my friends Boxter. We've both been using Sainsbury's super and I can't distinguish any difference in performance (97 ron). Only difference seems to be the price - currently 96.9p which is the same price as our local Morrison's regular unleaded!Waddle you do eh?0 -
Hey - as prices are dropping a little maybe a full tank is not the best idea..
See the BBC News- Oil is at a 2 month low now.

Fuel prices tend to be higher in August due to demands on fuel in holiday periods. Of course the middle East being such a violtile area has even bigger effect on fuel.0

Tesco is the nearest Supermarket to me, but I don't think the price is all that different....I dunno it seems a bit odd worrying over 2p a litre when it's a 5.6 litre V8 anyhow..
