Why not get in touch with local council or social services department ask them which agencies are contracted for work in the area you want to work in.
this will keep you very local if you sign up with them ones and ask about any contracts they have within NHS or care homes. If the contract into the NHS then you could be doing the same work on same wards in same hospital just at a better rate of pay.

Will do that, the agencies that work in my hospital get offered the work last so although they earn more again its late when you get the call. I joined the nursing bank cos i wanted the work first rather than the extra money, thinking the two would balance out. Think i'll look at care homes local to me and see what opportunities there are with agencys. Many thanks for your thoughts.:beer:Current Debt £1300 - Egg 0%

Just wanted to say you are very welcome. I believe NHS Nurses get a raw deal these days and would recommend anyone to agency work but more through community care than Just Nursing Care agencies as usually they have more nurses on there books than work because they are specialised in one area mainly where as community care is the whole range and they generally have several regular contracts via tenders form social services/ local councils.

I'm still up, scouring the boards for yet more inspiration
Not having much luck as I've got hooked on yet another 'game' sent to me from work colleagues and I can't stop doing it. It's helicopter flying
I should add that you only use the mouse button to fly it0 -
sounds fun!! what's the aim of the game?
I was just over on the Old Style board looking at how to make your own butter ... you learn something new every day!
keeps you motivated these boards0 -
you get a score, depending on how far you manage to fly it before crashing!
I really should get to bed but don't think I would sleep - got too much buzzing round in my head
I could spend all day and all night on here and still find things to look at. I love it0
