I agree, although I am actually debt free. I have no excuse for the fat free wannabe board as I certainly need it. It was a treat for DD and we had a voucher for 2 large EV meals for £4.59 so a bit of a bargain. DD enjoyed  it as it's rare we go there...and will be sometime before we go again

Well not nowadays as most houses chimneys are there for either decoration or for their gas central heating outlet :-|0

I agree! I didn't see anything wrong with the cane while I was still in school! Kids had more respect back then! (Lordy I sound like an old woman!) :rolleyes:Total abstinence is so excellent a thing that it cannot be carried to too great an extent. In my passion for it I even carry it so far as to totally abstain from total abstinence itself. Oscar Wilde0

There's actually a bit more to the story but the language was the worst of it. Those staff members for certain need some retraining. I should have gone Drive-Thru there was a scrummy chap working the window!0 -
no worries i know what you mean - had it from the other side tho - my daughter who has been brought up to respect her elders/customers/people in general has had her share of rude customers/manager who r rude to customers - hardly setting a good example (was tempted to go and give one of her managers a piece of my mind till reminded by dd1 that she is 17 and could fight her own battles lol)olympic challenge starting 7/1/07:j0

I went to boarding school where children were given proper thrashings for misbehaving - and I tell you it fixed us up good. Without being funny, kids in the victorian era (well the ones at school anyway), could all read and write extremely well, do complex mental arithmetic and had a respect for the value of education. None of this "trendy failure" in schools these days

Argh I hate rude customers! There's nothing you can do except bite your tongue and smile when you just want to slap them across the face
I used to work in a pharmacy and we always used to get more trouble that the customer services people!Total abstinence is so excellent a thing that it cannot be carried to too great an extent. I did 3 years in Asda, part time on the checkouts and the manners of some people is astonishing, you wonder what their kids will turn out like! As much as I enjoyed the job I'd never do it again...well I don't think I could go back to Asda as I left under a bit of cloud...Christmas week, queues, stroppy customers and my frustration at their manners, departed checkout mid customer with a very rude suggestion and never went back.

To be honest, i think society as a whole has less tolerance and understanding of eachother. People seem to have that 'i want it now' syndrome and complain about everything. i prefer a live and let live way of thinking until someone decides to muck me about or treats me with disrespect then i'm sorry they get it!!;)Current Debt £1300 - Egg 0%
