Email On The Move - Which Mobile Is Best?
I am disappointed that my 3G Broadband dongle + netbook is not the answer to picking up emails.
Just four days away from a computer = masses of emails to sort through.
I thinking of getting a mobile phone so am mulling over the idea of buying an unlocked Blackberry.
I use Gmail and I've a Virgin paygo SIM.
Help & advice would be most welcome.

I believe Blackberries now get "push Gmail", if so that's certainly an option, other than that, your best bet is an Android handset. Though it's hard to recommend something without more specific requirements
For example, approx. budget, is a hardware keyboard necessary?
Though unless you have a data plan on that PAYG SIM card, I wouldn't recommend this option at all. Data can be expensive.0 -
Iphone in my opinion0

Holidays are always in the UK & only for a few days at a time so my preference would be Virgin's paygo. Virgin's Mobile Web costs 30p per day within the UK & I'd only pay on the days that I access the Internet from the phone.
I'd prefer a hardware keyboard.
I have no plans to download any data.
I have £200 max for buying another phone.
I'm under the impression that an iPhone is 3G, am I wrong?0 -
If you want a hardware keyboard look at Blackberrys or a Nokia E63.It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Agreed with Bill, a Blackberry sounds like your best bet. Seeing as you primarily use GMail, an iPhone would not be a good choice as it doesn't get push GMail, you have to fetch it manually.0
