  • Morning

My aim today is to send of my PPI reclaim letter. Discovered I had spent a fortune on my car loan, wrote to the finance company who phoned me immediately to say that they were not responsible and have sent me the brokers address.

Instead of buying my coffee from the machine before my class tonight, I have a fab new cup (yes I know I had to pay for it, but it will pay for itself in the long run!) so I will make my coffee before I leave work.

Have a cous cous salad so won't need to buy any lunch
A smile costs little but creates much :)

Hello Peeps I really am trying (again!). Can anybody help a techno moron to do a spread sheet to track expenses?:rotfl:
    THANKS

    Try

    www.spendingdiary.com

Its free and does all the hard work for you - keep it online and update it whenever you can. Made me see how much money I was spending on utter carp and how bad I was with my food money

    (eg I thought I spent about 200-300 a month on food - I actually spent nearer £400 + £120 on cafe's etc + £100 a month on takeaways - so total 'food expenses' were nearer £650 than 200!!!!!)

It also does whizzy graphs etc but I can't claim it will also make the tea!

    Goodluck!!
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

  • Hi ladies (and gents if there's any of you here!). Weather's gone a bit funny now hasn't it?

    Today I've done the following:-
    • Checked online banking & have a few more pennies than I thought!
    • Decided to empty out my food cupboards before buying more, and as I have about 50 tins of Slimfast I'm giving that a go.
    And I'm going to...
    • Do daily scratchcards when I get home
    • Possibly do a few surveys
    • Ring up one of my creditors to see where my refund payment is!! (they took too much, I want it back!)
    • Read a book called the 'Now Habit' to try and sort myself out financially
    • Apply for a job in Dominos Pizza! :D
    • Sort out a CV for my lil sis 'cos there's a job in Costa she wants (aren't I a good big sis?!)
    • Read the paper online instead of buying one!
Happy money saving to you all :j

    Hi ladies,

I’m back in work today so thought I’d draft this and then do a little cut and paste job on my lunch break. Will catch up properly with everyone when I’m back home. :)

    Today (and last night) I:

    - have used the last of some milk I got for free
    - got 5 eggs for free
    - sorted a meal plan for this week – will update the meal plan thread later
    - sorted SiL2b’s bday pressie – going to buy with a voucher
    - kept my shower at ‘8’ – doesn’t need to be at level 9 in the spring… - I’m known for my ‘scalding’ showers and OH is perfectly happy with level 8 hotness – I can do this…
    - put washing on the airer and resisted the temptation of taking it all to the launderette
    - baked some potatoes last night at the same time as dinner was cooking for lunches
    - turned the oven and hob off last night for the last 5 mins
    - will put some coins in the jar
    - will check banking and cc to see whether my BT is all set to go through! “bye bye 15.9%” :D
    - saw the expenses form and it’s easy to claim for the calls I made yesterday ;)
    - sort out the last little bits and bobs for the voluntary stuff I’m working on
    - looked at pressies expenses for the rest of the year and think I’ve got vouchers to cover them all :D

    xx
