Tuesday 11th May - What small DFW things have you done today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Gooooood morning:p
Arghhh...I hardly slept last night, just couldn't drop off for hours, then when I did I kept waking with my tummy gurgling and churning...nice;) So will get through the morning in a daze then home to crash out until I need to pick up DD2 and her pal and take them to Maths club...then collect, do dinner and take her to guides. Zzzzzzzzzzz:rotfl:
So, better get my list done:
Have a fab day:j:j:j

Well done littlekel! I am hoping for similar degree of weight loss without effort tomorrow

Today I will be mostly spending my LAST DAY at work! Yippee! (not very MSE though, lol!). But boss is taking me out for lunch
And I'll also be reducing Amazon listings, checking bank accounts, crocheting things to sell, and waiting for Mr Daffs to come home from being a rock star

Good luck all, enjoy the sunshine while it lasts!

Morning All :hello:
Not a lot to report here, still no news on the job front. And rather than saving money I have just committed to spending an extra £10 a week by having the maid two days a week instead of one  We don't really need it, but it makes such a huge difference to her family. She's here today, with a massive smile on her face
So today I have/will:- I did some washing at 30 and line dried before she arrived to save tumble drying
- Went to the market for veg rather than a supermarket - just need to check on the keeping proprties of this stiff. But 15 large beetroot for less than £2 is great
- need to menu plan (must check the BBC web-site for some beetroot recipes.....)
- still knitting Christmas presents, will also start preparing the family recipe book for my extended family - as requested by them. Apparently I'm the only one with time to gather Mums old recipes and make a book, so that's their Christmas present sorted

- Making Popeye take a sandwich rather than spending £1.50 a day on them.
- We barbecued 3 lots of meat on Sunday to make 3 suppers. It worked out brilliantly and we'll do that again.
Popeye has been impressed at how I'm managing to get good meals for 2 at very little difference in cost from his meals for one before I got here :A I owe it all to this site
