First Direct - Is this a record?

Mr. Pimento lost his FD VISA debit card on Thursday. I called First Direct at lunchtime on Thursday to report it lost and ask them to send him a new card.

It arrived on Saturday morning, less then 48 hours after I'd called them.

I love First Direct... :T

That is very impressive, I have always maintained that HSBC/First Direct are the best by a country mile.

Good service - but I'd be worried they were prepared to talk to you about his card.

One of my relatives was over in Europe from the States and had lost his cards in Belgium, was coming up to London to stay with us so Friday evening 6-7pm he rang round the card companies. A new Mastercard delivered next morning at 11am by courier! (just as he was leaving to do tourist stuff in Central London!)

Halifax have done the same for me in the past, I had fraud on my CC on Thursday afternoon, they phoned me straight away to let me know about it, and then cancelled my card. The replacement card arrived Saturday morning.

I would have thought that would be fine. If you find a card, you can call the number on the back of the card and report it found. They'll ask you to destroy it, and send a new one to the cardholder.
