In our Waitrose (Edinburgh) they don't stock Waitrose own brand organic milk or the Leckford brand - so if you want to buy unhomogenised the only option is Duchy which is much more expensive. :( The organic milk they stock is Graham's (Scottish dairy) which is homogenised.
Think yourself lucky, here in the IoM all milk is fixed in price I think it is 54p a pint atm whatever type and organic (No metric has not been forced on us yet) and it is illegal to import fresh milk or open dairy products from the UK. In reality it works out well as supermarkets cannot fix prices and more people use milk deliver as there is no charge for this and it is fresher. Of course you can get the long life junk that is imported but who would buy that.

It's often to do with the packaging being unsuitable [as opposed to the contents]; so cartons can go soggy and then leak when defrosting [often].

Milk is fine to be frozen [as long as in right container and room for expansion].

Surely, they put the notice on the bottle for some reason? I have been freezing milk for years too, but never seen the new warning on this before!
I have actually tried it, the milk is weaker almost skimmed, but I am still not happy about any health issues that may ensue.

There aren't any health issues - as long as you don't keep freezing and defrosting it multiple times.

    It's a flavour/consistency issue.
