    AVG is still free but you did well to ditch it when you did as it's now awful and on a par with McAffee.... do a forum search :)

    I Reccommend MC Afee over any of the programs listed above i have been using it on all my pcs for over a year now and not a glitch

    'Not a glitch' presumably means that it didn't find any infections that are now all over your PC's...
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
