Clothes sizing

Totally agree with this post. I can't believe I can be a size 6 at M&S and not be able to squeeze into a size 8 somewhere else! (Okay, I *can* believe it because it's true. I can't believe there is no standardisation of sizes. What is the point of buying off the peg if you can't rely on the size guides?)Shops aimed at older ladies tend to have bigger sizes with smaller sizes on the labels, whereas shops aimed at teens will be much smaller. I know I can fit into M&S clothes that are labelled as being smaller than my actual size.0 -
I disagree with the statement that most shops selling clothes in a "straight up and down" size. I've found recently that shops seem to assume all women have a huge bottom - and such clothes look most perculiar on me.0
