Hi would an old IBM Think Pad R30 have any cash value?If so where and how much? Would you have to do anything before parting with it?

One has recently gone on eBay for around £30. See here.
You would need to remove every trace of identification on the machine. Best to delete everything that didn't come with the laptop when you bought it.
An effective way of doing this is to re-install Windows, but you might prefer to manually delete programs/files (if you're not too technically minded).The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

After reinstalling windows, assuming you have the disc, you need to wipe free space with ccleaner wipe free space option, if you are throwing it away, use dban or take the drive out.!!

Thinkpads will always sell.... Is it worth selling though? I kinda like having my 12+ year old 770X knocking about, still works a treat too

search ebay under completed listings for that model of laptop. It will tell you the market value,how mich it sells for and how many of them didn't sell at all0
