afternoon, or should i say evening, ladies! I hope everyone has had a lovely day, its been gorgeous out! not that i enjoyed much of it... spent the morning nursing the hangover from hell_pale_ went out with my two best friends, one of whom recently had a baby so she was ready for a good night out... it was fab alright, but we ended up hitting the shots and you can guess the rest! three puking ladies this morning! after a nasty macdonalds lunch i felt ok, so i have been out to buy new lightswitches and things for my new kitchen, and hopefully my darling dad will come fit them tomorrow, fingers crossed. managed to completely gut my bedroom too and change the bed, so i have a bit of a start for next weeks lists. got my laundry pile finished as well, just need to keep in my routine of doing a bit of ironing and filding each day. Im finding that me being busy in the house is having a good effect on hubby, hes doing more without being asked. this morning while i whined and sipped lucozade on the sofa, he did a S&S through the downstairs, which was great!
next on my list is the bathrooms so off i go......:A0 -
Sorry I haven't been here this week:o... but I have achieved quite a bit:j
I've done a few bin bag dances in the bedroom ready for a furniture shuffle and to make room for a cot:D
Freezer was defrosted:)
More wallpaper is up:j
I've started on painting the bathroom and have been decluttering toiletries:cool:
And the stairs have been cleared of random things that seemed to of ended up there!!:j
Can't wait to get the house sorted and decorated so I can just concentrate on doing normal everyday tasks/the lists!:)BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Had a lovely day out with family today. Unfortunately a slight bad bit to the day as I had a little scrape in my car
when I looked behind me there was no car in the bus stop behind me, I heard the lady's horn as I met with her car. No really damage to my car apart from a couple of scratches which I will not be claiming for, wing mirror was only real damage on her car. I feel really stupid and sick and my insurance company say to ring back on Monday which is annoying but didn't need towing so it is not an emergency. I am sure I will get over it, my pride is hurt though

Oh no! I have had a couple of small scrapes in my car (with concrete posts) and they do leave you feeling a bit down
At least no one was hurt and there isn't too much damage to either car... (((hugs)))Part time GCer, NSDer, Comper and (Bad)FlyladyA big shot is just a little shot that kept shooting ...0 -

Evening everyone.
Not much done flying wise today except dailies will do the living room tomorrow. Went out with DD this morning shopping and for lunch. Then went to see mum. In the home is a lady who is related on my maternal grandmas side. She has dementia but can remember the nature of how we are related. Today she had visitors and I met 2 second cousins I have never met before. One of them lives about 5 minutes from me. It was interesting talking about the family history. Went to DDs for a cuppa then to GS1s to see GGD3 who is getting better.

Boo!
I'm home from my holiday in South Devon. Had a lovely time - it was great to lie in bed and hear the waves crashing on the beach - I found it v. soothing. Did a lot of walking and sitting outside - although it was cool, the sun shone most of the time and the back garden was quite sheltered so I've actually got a bit of a tan.
The woodburner in the living room was a godsend in the evening - great to sit beside to keep warm and just get stuck into a book and a glass of gin/wine whatever. Pub next door served wonderful fresh fish dishes.
Visited Agatha Christie's (a heroine of mine!) house near Dartmouth - what a beautiful spot and got thoroughly enthralled by the history of the one time village of Hallsands (and two of its inhabitants!) which got demolished by the sea thanks some rich guy dredging shingle to build some docks near Plymouth.
BB enjoyed herself and was generally well behaved though she did delight in rolling in seaweed on the beach.
Feel much more refreshed and relaxed but haven't got a hope in hell of catching up on this week's thread so hugs and hurrahs as appropriate. Could someone give me a potted history of events?I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
