I'm leaving everything till the last minute too... need to bake cupcakes for a friend's birthday party this afternoon, do some planting in the garden as otherwise nothing will survive while I'm away, mow the nice new grass, get my packing done for my trip, get my presentation written up for my trip, get my notes written up for my client visits on my trip, and book a taxi so I can get to the airport. No point booking one for the return journey as I still don't have a flight thanks to the strike.

And I've run out of cupcake cases and also need to buy strawberries... guess I should have breakfast and get dressed.

Oh... and I need to go to the post office and send off my driving licence renewal!

Wonder when the flying will get done
    Suddenly I feel better:D

    To Do List

Spread out clothes and check I have enough of everything for a week - bearing in mind that the temperature seems to be improving. - DONE - just need to transfer to case
Sort toilet bag - can't close up till tomorrow morning
    Remember camera

Try and get into garden now weather has improved

    FILE NAILS!!

    Book taxi - DONE

Have a nice time at your cousin's Tootsy x
Bungle I just damp wipe, it picks up the dust instead of floating it around all over the place, you could try that oh and hoover hoover like mad.
Good news valli and you should be proud that you played a part in their downfall x

    K, I've been busy

    cut front & back grass
    pot up 2 plants
    hang washing out
    empty DW
    reload DW
    S&S kitchen
    tidy LR and DR
strip bed & put in wash

    remake bed
    full bathroom clean
    brandish hoover about
    strip walls in LR
    ^^tidy up, hoover then mop

My back's going mad so I've left the window wall, it can be done later, that wall is going to be framed up and insulated anyway so nothing's spoiling. Need to go round to OH's (that'll be 2 hrs gone then lol) for the lawnmower and yard brush. Just had breakfast. I forgot

Have been on the go since my last post, but I'm flagging a bit now. 3 beds stripped and rooms/beds airing. Washing collected. Dry towels put away. Stairs and landings hoovered. DW emptied/re-loaded. WM emptied and re-loaded. Recycling/rubbish sorted. LR floor partially de-cluttered and waiting for DS2 to sort his toys. Also knocked a few things off the list. Can you tell I'm trying to avoid the kitchen...

I'll do another hour, then we've got to go out. By then I should have re-made the beds, got myself and DS2 washed and dressed, hoovered LR and finally done a bit in the kitchen. The gardening session looks doubtful - can't remember seeing this dull grey sky on the weather forecast...:(

Toots - have a lovely time at your cousin's.
Froddy - keeping finger crossed for the match.
Greenbee - another last-minute-person here, but I'm trying to change, as I've got caught out too often. On that note, must check DH's passport...

    [STRIKE]Morning ladies![/STRIKE]

Afternoon ladies!!:hello: What happened to the morning??

Yesterday evening was DS2's rugby club end of season dinner, the first time we've been as it is his first season playing for a club. Fortunately, his best friends' parents went too, as they are the only people we know! It was a good evening, but the main course was chicken stuffed with mushroom pate, and wrapped in bacon - and I can't eat pork. I removed the pate, and gave DS2 the bacon, and hoped I'd be alright - but ended up ill half the night. Won't be doing that again! They didn't tell us in advance what was on the menu - and I'd take a guess that rugby players don't do vegetarian??;)

I had to get up early as someone was coming to do work in the garden - but he never came, and I just fell asleep on the sofa, very unusual, I never sleep in the day unless I'm ill. I'm less tired, but still feel yuk. I rang the garden man, and a child answered saying that he wasn't working as he had a bad cough. Pity they couldn't have rung yesterday and told me that, before I spent the whole afternoon clearing everything out of the way. Well, I guess it's a good thing the side path is all cleared and swept anyway!

Must stagger out and buy petrol, and a couple of things from S'burys. I'll have to try and do the school stuff later, I don't want to spend Sunday working. The sun's shining, I want to garden!

if I could get level 1 done through the week and then go for higher levels at the weekend that would be a good thing :) What do you think?
JJ, I think as long as it gets done, you have to slot it in round your other commitments. I see you got some company for your HHCs, which always helps.:o

Today I've decluttered a visit to the audiologist (who spent 5 mins checking my hearing aid over and 15 mins chatting about wolves :rotfl:), been to the F&V market, made lime ice cream, made a Quorn, cheese & tomato quiche, put the BM on to do the dough for pesto & parmesan tear'n'share bread (first time with this recipe ) and gently reminded Mr LW that he needs to sand the bit of Polyfilla he put in a wee hole in the lounge wall the other day - I'd've done it myself, but the sandpaper's in the loft, and I'm not able to get up there to get it.

Need to get him to help me change the bed - always do this on a Saturday. Then take it steady for the rest of the day, as we have tickets for "The Pirates of Penzance" at MK Theatre tonight, and I want to feel well enough to enjoy it.

Weather is nice today - hope it stays that way for a bit!

Today.. as we have no imps about.. the garden is going to be gutted... I am considering washing the baby clothes as well.. given that DS3 arrived in 5 weeks time.. at least I'd then be partially prepared.. and it is only 3 weeks earlier than I decided before..

    So..

    Grass minced
    Toys sorted/flung/put away accordingly
Shed sorted.. stuff flung/put away/rehomed accordingly.
    planters emptied of cat poo
hydrangea and lavendar planted in ground.

I have a couple of bills to pay too.. I'll do those first...

Ooh.. the cheque for DS3's and DD2's school uniform has cleared so that is 2 children sorted for September.. 2 down.. 5 to go!!!
