Those of you around in February might recall that two 'ladies' attempted to snatch my purse and were subsequently caught. Well, the police have been keeping me up-to-date with their progress through court; they have each been sentenced to 18 weeks in prison for the crimes they were charged with, and pleaded guilty to, namely two thefts from the person and two thefts from a shop or stall.

    Good morning

Bright and cheerful here, too. Breakfast eaten, cuppas decluttered and eurostar booking finished. Got to make a start on jobs, otherwise I'll spend all morning planning this holiday.

Crisis cleaning in kitchen/bathroom/living room about to commence! I'll keep going until lunch time, then out for petrol and our trip to costco. I want to get out into the garden when we're back, as the weather forecast for tomorrow has changed since last night. Lots of rain on the way.

Best be off, then. Wishing everyone well in their endeavors for today, including fighting off all these BDs.

Anyone else up for a HHC at 10am?

I'm going to try to get as much of my list done today starting with hoovering sofa/lounge/dining room/kitchen - should be able to get all of that done in half an hour and have time for a bit of dusting. Will load the WM before I start...

I'll join you to get me started.

    Morning all
    Showered, dressed and WM on.

Why, oh why do I faff around wasting time and then end up in full panic mode with no time to do things properly

    To Do List
    Make bed
Spread out clothes and check I have enough of everything for a week - bearing in mind that the temperature seems to be improving.
Sort toilet bag - can't close up till tomorrow morning
    Remember camera

Try and get into garden now weather has improved

    FILE NAILS!!

    Book taxi

I'm leaving everything till the last minute too... need to bake cupcakes for a friend's birthday party this afternoon, do some planting in the garden as otherwise nothing will survive while I'm away, mow the nice new grass, get my packing done for my trip, get my presentation written up for my trip, get my notes written up for my client visits on my trip, and book a taxi so I can get to the airport. No point booking one for the return journey as I still don't have a flight thanks to the strike.

And I've run out of cupcake cases and also need to buy strawberries... guess I should have breakfast and get dressed.

Oh... and I need to go to the post office and send off my driving licence renewal!

Wonder when the flying will get done

I didn't get as much done as I had hoped in my HHC - it took 20 minutes to vacuum the sofa! Anyway, got that done and vacuumed the lounge and dusted the lounge. Waship up done and recycling put outside.

I'm now going to have a cuppa and then go for it again at 11am with another HHC.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do to stop the dust accumilating so quickly? This problem only started when we got a dog and she seems to whip everything up so even if I've dusted in the afternoon by the next morning you can write in the dust on the television screen! I usually just use a microfibre duster thing that is supposed to not need any product. Sometimes I use a mix of white vinegar and water - any other ideas?

Sort out plants / item etc for tomorrow car boot
Go an visit a freecycler, who says I can have up to 2 tonne of soil if I want it, tried to explain I cannot get all that in my car, and will bring 2 large tubs with me to fill....
Bring said soil home and eearth up spuds, and pot on seedlings as needed

Woohoo tilers nearly done here.:j:j:jIt looks amazing.:D
DW been on this morning and has been unloaded and reloaded. WM on again as well as tumble dryer. It's cold here today and very dull, i already have the fire lit.
Once tilers are gone, then we'll get the toilet back in. Then i'll do abit more in the utility room later.

Toots i hope you have a lovely time at your cousin's house.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
