* I passed my Theory Test
*
Decluttered 1 bacon and egg Mcmuffin, 1 sausage and egg Mcmuffin, 1 hash brown and 1 orange juice (which makes this a healthy breakfast, I tell you!) whilst waiting for my timeslot.
I'm learning in a Ford Focus and I'm having major nerves problems this time. I've never stalled, tripped up over my own feet and generally stuffed up in the way I have done in the last 3 weeks.
But it was quite a few years ago that I last took lessons and I was in quite a big accident in the intervening period, which has obviously affected me more than I thought it had. I would have liked to learn in a Fiat 500, but the BSM guy in this area is a %&$*, as found from 3 lessons in the dim and distant past. I shall continue with this instructor as I like him - he explains things, which is a first.
And he was right when he told me to be careful on the hazard perception as I'll notice them before I'm supposed to and dismiss them before the computer expects. So had to really slow down.
As the mouse was faulty, don't think the first 4 hazard perception questions were answered properly as I was thumping the cpra out it the thing to get it to click (the member of staff had disappeared from the observation window when I looked round and stuck my hand up)
But I passed anyway!
In view of the level 1 sorting out of slap, I then blew £28 on a steel grey, a tawny brown and a creamy white nail varnish from Boots No 7, along with a trio from their 1960s range of eyeshadows (I didn't have a grey before) and a little freebie pack of stuff I haven't even opened yet.
And looking at the politics, the longer they spend squabbling amongst themselves about who is the biggest kid in the playground, the longer we spend without anyone picking on the more vulnerable members of society. And we get the spectacle of Sky News turning on itself and all around in panic at the thought that Emperor Murdoch has encountered resistance to his attempt to assign governmental posts by executive decree.
I suspect that the Lib Dems would be best placed, having already ensured that the PM resigns, (and presumably not ensured that Cameron goes - I bet they tried though), would benefit most by telling both parties to get stuffed. As such, they would hold the deciding vote on anything and everything whichever side forms the minority government. And this would stop the party faithful from dropping him like an addled egg for going over to the Dark Side - whichever side that is perceived to be to each member.
But I don't know anything.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Finding the right instructor is the most important thing and sounds like you got a good un.
I beg to differ - that is a very good analysis of the situation to date - and I agree with your preference for the outcome.Jojo_the_Tightfisted wrote: »And looking at the politics, the longer they spend squabbling amongst themselves about who is the biggest kid in the playground, the longer we spend without anyone picking on the more vulnerable members of society. grateful - first of all you have to get the carp stupid a*ses to give you an outcome on a stage two complaint or ICE will not touch it (up to a year), then you go to ICE (who take at least three months to allocate a case officer), once they have dealt with it you can go the ombudsman. Our MP went to the ombudsman because the CSA were ignoring ICE, but the Ombudsman cant touch it till ICE have given an outcome which was todays letter. We still don't have a case officer from an October 08 referral by our MP, or compensation despite csa admitting maladministration and agreeing to compensate back in Feb this year. *hyper ventilates* The best bit is we always pay for SS2 at above CSA rate and up front. At least I know 100% DH is not a KH when it comes to his responsibilities for children of former marriages.[QUOTE]
Thanks, hex, that last bit is very very important.
Yes, I know KH is dim, but even he can see that his paltry contribution doesn't even cover half the childcare costs:(BUT they (KHs) don't see it as paying for their child, they see it as giving their ex-partner their money so she can blow it on essentials like Gin and generallly make a profit out of them. I have even heard tell of NRPs who would rather GIVE ther money to the kids than pass it onto the ex. Totally forgetting the kids have to be fed, housed and clothed and all that costs. I get, for two teens, £56.00 per week. Easily what they eat in food alone especially as they have school dinners. And he STILL thinks I am making a profit. I actually get MORE in tax credits than I get from him - and he has a working partner and they both work full time.
**shrug**
I am NOT saying they are right mind...but I honestly believe that a lot of NRPs think PWCs are 'using' their children to make a 'profit', and that we are somehow better off because our kids are our meal tickets...
Off work with a stomach bug and feel like death, just got up. Up all night with DD1 sick too. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
