Land Registry wrong info?

We purchased our semi-detached house in September last year. Obviously it takes a while for the land registry to update, but I recently checked on RightMove and noticed that they have our house listed as a terrace!
I contacted the Land Registry about this and got the following reply:
"Thank you for your enquiry.
Land Registry plans are according to law, based on Ordnance Survey plans.

The Ordnance Survey plan for your area appears to reveal your property as adjoining both neighbouring properties.
Any buyer would of course, inspect the property and would see whether it was terraced or detached.

If you feel the plan is therefore incorrect, you may wish to consider writing to the Land Registry for your area, Portsmouth Land Registry, St. Andrew's Court, St. Michael's Road, Portsmouth, Hants PO1 2JH, Tel: 02392768888, querying why it appears to show your property as terraced etc."
Has anybody had this happen to them and did they get it resolved successfully?
Why would I be listed as a terrace when its clearly not?
Any info greatly appreciated!

Hmmm, I got a similar response when I queried why our freehold house was listed as leasehold. I really can't be bothered to challenge them as we will be moving soon but I do feel a bit  at their lakadaisical attitude.0

I certainly would challenge them as this is just the sort of thing that would hold up a sale!0 -

Your solicitor should have sorted this when you bought.
CC debt at 8/7/13 - £12,186.17
Barclaycard £11,027.58
Halifax £1,158.59
5 year plan to live unsecured debt free and move home0 -
Why would it hold up our sale? Or deeds show the house as freehold - it is only the data on Rightmove etc which is incorrect. We are just waiting for the buyers to sign their contract now so it certainly didn't hold up anything.
If the new owners are unhappy with the data that is showing on Rightmove etc. then they can challenge it but I am not going to bother. I've got more important things to think about like the colour of our new carpet and curtains for our new house0 -

Of course it won't hold it up. As long as the deeds, and (ironically) the Land Registry title plan show the house as it is, it won't make a blind bit of difference. If when you bought it, you saw the plan and it was correct, there's no major issue.
We've bought and soldsomany times and I've seen data appear, disappear, never appear at all, be incorrect and I can't be bother with it either. It makes no difference to the buying selling process.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Our house was listed as semi rather than detached. I emailed Land Registry and pointed out that the houses on either side were both listed as detached, so what could it be joined onto. The Land Registry registers land and what is built on it is incidental. It is a subsidiary function for them to provide house price information. These definitions can be confusing and are merely there to help people who should not be trying to make detailed accurate valuations based on such information.
I have what was originally a three bed detached that is now 4 bed because of a two storey extension built 20 years ago in the driveway at the side of the house. Neighbours have done the same thing - the houses are not attached but on one side there is a four inch gap on the other side a one inch gap. We are on a hill so the roof lines are different for each house as you go up the hill. Is it detached or terraced? Does it matter? Anyone buying can assess the situation themselves. The gaps mean that we hear absolutely nothing coming through the walls.
Why get so concerned about how the Land Registry describes the house?RICHARD WEBSTER
