hi
ohhh im cross
queued and did a trolly dash to get 1 of only 8 tvs in aldi this morning and its faulty!
whenever you plug the scart lead in(from freesatbox) the power goes off! ive even gone and bought a more expensive scart lead.
aldi shut now so rang the tv help line
boy in phone very rude and unhelpful saying it would get picked up in 2 days and mended and returned in 10 days!
i said so i would get a repaired 1 day old tv back for the same price i dont think so
he said no replacement unless it cant be repaired. he said it sounded like the power board??

i presume i can take it back to aldi for a ful refund and then get the bush at argos i have reserved?
so disappointed i saved for ages lol

Stick it back in the original packaging, take it to Aldi in the morning saying you bought it as a gift and it was unwanted. They give a 30 day money back guarantee.

No they don't, they're entitled to attempt to repair it. There's no legal entitlement to a straight return either, if they have a 30 days returns policy then that is the store's discretion, and not a legal entitlement.

Sale of Goods Act from .gov.uk site

    "Refunds

You can get your money back if an item is:
    faulty (it doesn’t work properly)
    incorrectly described
    not fit for purpose

If you find that the item doesn’t meet these requirements you can ask for your money back, as long as you do so quickly. Alternatively, you can request a repair or replacement or claim compensation."

No need for SOG at Aldi, they have a no quibble 28 day money back guarantee for any reason.

    Just take it back.
