For some UNKNOWN reason - they have reduced the 1 kilo (PLAIN WHITE no frills type) to 12p - one shop had 12p and sold out quick - they other shop I tried didn't have it marked as 12p so there was plenty left - but it rings into the till at 12p

Thanks. I've noticed they've discontinued the Value Washing Powder in my local branch so they're obviously disposing of their remaining stock in other branches.
I'm really shocked because I've bought it for over 10 years, and the next cheapest alternative in the Tesco range costs more than double. Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons don't seem to have discontinued their cheapo 50p equivalents which makes it all the more strange.0 -
Sorry, just to clarify then is this the Value range?. How much is it normally?0

think its 50p + and yes - the Value - (No frills white type package)0

None left in Barnsley Stairfoot and the bigger economy packs are still £1.49. Noticed the 1kg packs were labelled discontinued a few weeks back but not reduced at that point. I use it quite regularly as it works as well as other standard ranges and is 1/3 of the price. I noticed that lots of product ranges have been rebranded/repackaged recently ... maybe it's coming back with a new look!

I buy plenty of value stuff which Im happy with, and I usually use Tesco's own brand washing powder, but when I used Tesco's value powder for a few weeks it seemed to clog up my machine and left grey smears on the clothes, which meant darks needed to be washed again without powder.
The problem stopped when I switched back to the regular.:o 0 -

I use it all the time - always put a bit of Lenor in the inal rince and I dont notice the difference. With three big teens in the house who feel the need to change every 5 mins - its a good buy for me !0 -
I've been to Tesco Thornton Heath on three occasions and there are never any left! Oh well, I'm back again next week, so fingers crossed."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0
