Disappointing bbq

Afternoon,
I got one of these:
http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.207-1752.aspx
got my gas, ready for today. What a letdown. Anyone else have one with a pathetic flame, took 30 mins to cook sausages. Tried messing with the bottle and regulator.
Is it just a waste of money?

If it's cr*p, take it back as not fit for purpose! Even a £3 foil tray would cook them better by the sounds of it!
Can't beat a cheapo traditional BBQ with good old charcoal!
Go for this oen:

(but turn the ash tray thing upsidedown so it doesn't collect rain water if stored outside!)Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
We bought my dad one of those BBQs last year, and it works absolutely fine, so it sounds like yours is faulty. Take it back!
I second the charcoal BBQ comment as well, we bought one last year and regretted not getting one sooner. It makes OH feel all rugged and manly!0 -
Just phoned Tesco Direct, they will refund or replace it. Can I be ars*d dismantling it?
Took two hours putting it up!0 -
get them to collect it as it is0

They said it needs to be in as much original packaging as possible.0

Agreed ....anything else is a gas fire0 -
You did leave it for 15mins with the lid closed after it was lit to heat up the coals?.. they should be slightly covered in ash when ready to cook.. we have one of those BBQ's and it cooks perfectly...#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

They would say that because it makes life easy for them.
You've wasted time buying and assembling the thing and had a disappointing BBQ and now they want you to waste more time taking it apart and repacking it?
I’d tell them the packaging has gone in the bin so they can either collect as is or send someone round with new packing to dismantle it.0 -

Its not BBQ it uses gas its an outside gas hob. Have you checked all teh valves are fully opened. Never had heard any complaints along this line about the cheapo B&Q one when i used to wrked there.0
