what a headache
someone from dwp gave me a false number that i have been trying to call for the past week and a half.and it was constantly engaged, then today i ring, success i think as the phone rings..... it was a fax line and nothing to do with dwp.
Finally get the right number, and a lot of myths about how long it takes, fitting the criteria, and how much you can get up to were corrected
I do fit the criteria, i have a letter from housing to confirm why i need to move.
Renting equipment i always saw as a rip off as you are paying over and beyond for something you will never own.
places like bright house are fine if you insist on having lots of loving things and don't mind paying the huge apr.
I personally don't need or want lots of lovely things, just essentials to help
Just spoken to nearest job centre who will fax off my form to ccg today :T
awaiting help to get me there who should be here shortly, such a huge relief.0 -
Sounds like you're getting there - hopefully it won't be too long once you get the form in. :j0

also, have you tried here http://www.mssociety.org.uk/support_and_services/index.htmlThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0

Been to the job centre today, really nice man, asked if i could stay whilst he copied my paperwork and faxed it, i said yes, i then asked if i could have a copy of the forms just in case, he was happy to do that, and then rang me later to confirm the fax had gone through as he had spoken to ccg to check they received it. And wished me all the best.
Now that made my day, someone helpful0 -
Just an update.
I moved this Satuday, and got my CCG awarded and paid yesterday :j:j
all of it went to the OH as what i was asking for he paid for to get me moved.
The carpets, the removals, etc they awarded me £911
it doesn't cover all the costs but, i am gratefull for what i received as i don't like owing money to anyone.
So to recap, only takes about a week - week and a half to process
they can pay over £1000, if they think you warrant it. What i asked for was over £1000, they didn't think carpets were important, but seeing as OH had already paid for it ... (when i say OH, i will state here and now he does not live with me, he is financially sepharate from me, it was just good fortune that he had the money at the time to pay for things that i needed before i could move in for my own safety.)
I fitted into the slot of moving because of disability/illness making my old home unsuitable.
CCG is there to help, it is not a bottomless pit but, if you think you are entitled to it, then go for it, the only people that can tell you yes or no are the decision makers.
The removal company well that was a different story and i am upset with the mess they left me in.
They were told i had a 2 bed maisonette large with lots of stuff, i went into every room and explained what there was, they turn up with a 7.5 ton van with 2 men, who couldn't even get a single bed down the stairs, (2 friends had no trouble getting the bed in 2 years ago) they had to dangle it over the balconyOH said they were not kind to my stuff (he sent me away to the new place out of the way - less stress)
they filled up the van with all the big stuff, and left half a house behind, saying this is what i ordered, a small van for a small house, OH and friends have helped this week filling up their boots of cars with hundereds of boxes because the removals wouldnt go back and take it, they wanted more money, i ring the boss who said i ordered this. He said you had a small house, i told him that i never ever said i had a small property.0
