nokia 7600 & its MP3 player
I know that lots of people have got the Nokia 7300, but does anyone use the MP3 player? If yes, how? What I mean is I cannot seem to download to the phone, via Nokia suite or anything else, despite following the service manual instructions. Also I cannot find anything to tell me how big the MP3 is (memory). I have looked on the Nokia site, to no avail, and emailed Nokia - no reply......
Also I cannot find anything relating to how to upload to my pc the many photos my daughter has taken with the phone and wants to keep. Its all very frustrating so I hope someone can help.
Perhaps there is a site that explains in detail how to use these phones in order to get make the most of them? If yes please let me know.
thanks

hye ther. i use a nokia 7600 my self. wen u bought the fone, did u receive the data cable n the software CD? those 2 are crucial for transferring stuff PC-fone vice versa. if u got them, install evrything from the CD. then, connect the cable to your phone and PC. go to My Computer, and you'll see Nokia Phone Browser. Double click on it, go to phone memory, then gallery. There u go. U can now start transferring stuff to/from ur fone/PC. Just drag n drop. About the mp3. If u use your fone and go to gallery, press the left selection key entering the options menu, then select memory options, it'll tell u basically evrythin bput ur memory status. hope dat helped.:money: Saving money is what I do :cool:0

Thanks for your replies.
The news about the MP3 player only holding 7 songs was disappointing but things have got even more diffficult.
We are now finding that lots of the function on the phone won't work at all e.g. uploading pix, downloading music or tones, sending picture messages, multimedia etc etc. A call to Nokia was not much help other than to say that there may be a corrupt file on the phone somewhere causing all the problems and that we should return the phone to CPW at the same time warning us that the problems may not be covered by the warranty (presumably because CPW could say it was something we had downloaded that had caused the problems.)
My daughter (its her phone) is gutted. Generally speaking we could never have afforded a phone lke this one and now its no better than a bog standard piece of kit. We certainly can't afford to replace it if it is not covered by the warranty.
what I am wondering is whether having the phone unlocked when we first bought it (by Remote Unlockers) could be at the root of the problems??
Any help/advice would be very much appreciated.Stop looking for answers....

well don't have one, but if you've loaded 7 mp3 or whatever, you will not them be able to add pictures etc as the phones memory is finite and whilst there may be apportioned memory between the different contenders these can be moved, there should be a menu option somewhere telling you how much memory the various contenders are taking and the total left, however as I said to a neighbour yesterday he has to read the manual, a chore yes but thats the only way to learn.
if there is a fault such as a corrupt file, I very much doubt carphone warehouse will charge, it will take their technicians minutes to fix and for any billing would be easier to charge nokiavBulletin getting better!0 -
didn't notice the unlocking bit, and in a word yes, if it hasn't been done properly, but even then cpw will prefer to charge nokia rather than sour customer realationsvBulletin getting better!0
