Help us stuck in canary islands with Ryan air

Our flight was meant to be tonight, we went to the airport but no one from ryain air was around and all other flights leaving but no Ryan air
we have an 8 month old baby so have had to go out and buy nappies,food etc
we are really worried as we font know if we can claim back ourhotel and food costs, money is tight
next flights might be Saturday next week but only going by what we read online

anyone help us????

You need to call Ryanair. They fly from LPA to several UK airports, so should be able to get you back to the UK somehow once they are able to fly. If not, if it was me I would be looking to get over to mainland Spain and fly or get the train from there.

Well im at work at the mo and its quiet again, stansted just doesnt seem the same without passengers.

There were a few cancelations going out bound too as the flights they needed to fly outbound were'nt getting the aircraft in for the service out

We got back to Manchester from Lanzarote at 3.30am this morning after a 3 hour delay.

Only flights running out of Arrecife were 3 Monarch ones to UK airports. Everything else apart from local flights and one to Germany were cancelled.

Lots of Irish people stuck, along with many Spanish.

To answer the original quetsion Ryanair did a u turn a couple of weeks ago and have said they will be paying for hotel and meals.

You need to check their website as often as possible and try and changing your flight booking asap. If you flight has been cancelled then there should be no cost for the new flight. Dont try and book a flight you must change your existing booking.

Just checked their website and they have put on an extra flight from Tenerife to Stansted at 18:50 tonight (Sun) so get on the website (http://www.ryanair.com/en/notices/gops/100503-AHS-PART_2-GB) asap.

Thanks for all the replies we had to go and do a shop for the baby last night. No news on the website and we couldn't re book as our flights we already checked in. No one helped us at our resort and all Thompson and Thomas cook reps said " that's Ryan air for you all our flights are fine" cheers!!
We went to thexairport first thing and got re routed to Birmingham for this thursdaybut they couldn't tell us if we will get anything back for food drinks and hotel , I have read thexwebsite several times but it contradicts itself on a few things including no compensation if weather or air traffic problems that are out of their hands.
Last night we atedinner at the restaurant herder shared a meal as it's so expensive so far we have spent £450 including £40 taxi to and from airport. This is all going on my creditt card which is emergency only as it's high apr.

Just want someone to givebus a definite yes you will be reimbursed and you can have lunch diner etc , tonight we are cooing our own pasta and tuna.....
