Tesco's meal deal glitch!

First till error I've ever noticed as a glitch and quite by mistake so here goes and I hope it makes sense!

Tescos have a finest meal deal, main, side dish, desert and wine for £9.
I accidently picked up 2 main dishes, 1 side, 1 dessert and a wine and it when the discount showed at the end it was the side dish I was charged full price for, so I had 2 mains included in the deal.

So 1 Red Pepper Lasagne, 1 Chicken with Asparagus, 1 Oven Baked Potatoes and 1 Rawnsley Estate Chardonnay, total £23.48, paid £11. Might go back and see if I can get 2 lasagnes, dessert and wine as they are £5 each.

No idea if it works on other items in the deal?

Can confirm this is working just sent hubby to tesco and he got the following for £11 so paid full price for the side instead of an extra main, had a £10 money card also so only had £1 to pay : )

Mmmmmm, these are delicious, our local tesco extra hasn't had them for ages though!

This sems to only work when substituting a side for a main. Tried it on tesco.com. If you are on the new tesco site you can try this online as the new site shows the price after discounts have been applied.

Did try wIth 2 bottles wine but no luck i'm afraid!!!!!!!!!!:( :rotfl:

Confused !!!!! If the offer is meal for £9, why is everybody so happy to pay £11 when they appear to be swapping a start/desert for a main??????
