    Beware that there are a few posts at the minute circulating about this 'guarantee from the Halifax' regarding credit cards. And each time it has been credit checked and declined.

    If you have an advert on internet banking for credit cards then that means nothing - you can be declined.

    But if Halifax's own system says on it that you have a guaranteed offer, then it means exactly that, and you will not be declined.
