Whilst I have every sympathy with the rest of your post, it's more like some idiot overlooked accounting for this cheque.;)
As to economising, ditch the gym membership. OK maybe there's a tie in period that means you can't do it straightaway but you really don't need to go to a gym to exercise.0 -
You earn £1,000 a month (is this net of tax? - if so you earn about £16,000/annum), yet you manage to have a mortgage, how is that possible? I would love to have a mortgage and earn double what you do? Things could be a lot worse, lol.0

have very litte debt and have been in control of it for years, even making overpayments on my mortgage.
Just a thought that might help - are you still making mortgage overpayments now? Whilst that's good, it would still be better if you stopped that for a while and paid the money off your CC and overdraft because these debts are costing you more. This will also help your credit file. Once they're sorted then maybe back on to the mortgage.A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can afford to let alone - Thoreau0 -

Yes i earn net £1000 a month, but i have been on a joint mortgage since i was 23 got divorced at 34 and got my own mortgage a two bed ex ccl home, lived there 9 months and moved because of noisy ccl tenants, then bought this house 2002 at £34,000 but put money on the house for improvements. I was on £16.5k in 2008 but left on vol redundancy to take a job nearer home but could not get one paying the same. I also pay for my daughter each month.
Yes i like having my own home and i am lucky to have a job, but i struggle to take my daughter out when she stays and myself i cant even go for a drink. so socialising is out totally.
What do you do if you earn double than me?Mortgage Free 2016Work Part Time:DHouse Hunting In France 20230 -

the mortgage overpayments stopped in jan 2010, but have now extended my mortgage term for 6-8months to save a bit more.Mortgage Free 2016Work Part Time:DHouse Hunting In France 20230 -
This won't save you money long term as the interest will be charged over a longer period.Butterfliesarepretty wrote: »the mortgage overpayments stopped in jan 2010, but have now extended my mortgage term for 6-8months to save a bit more.0
