Selected Mr instead of Mrs when booking flight online

Options
hello - I know this topic has been raised before but as the posting was a few years ago thought I would ask again to see if there are any updates. I have booked flights out to Krakow and then back from Gdansk for myself and a friend. When I printed the tickets saw that I had accidently selected Mr for my friend on the return journey. Do I need to pay to get this changed or will it be ok to leave as it is - as you do not have your Mr/Mrs/Miss staus on Passport? I have been advised just to give it a mention when checking in on the way out, but as previously mentioned this could cost more money than dealing with it before hand.
Any advice please?:(

I wouldn't mention it, nor would i worry about it any more than you have.
It will not cause a problem at all.

I am afraid that I do not agree with Mr Lahey on this. Most people, including airline staff, can tell the gender of the person in front of them. If a woman attempts to travel on a ticket purchased for a man, she is likely to face major problems.

I suggest that you contact the airline by telephone and say that you need to correct an error.

Not my experience, but if the airline is willing to change it for free you may as well to put your mind at ease

I have travelled on a Ms ticket. It was noticed and easily explained away.

No problems since it is the name that must be identical to that on the passport - Not the title.

My wife has travelled as a MR many times! Think its due to having a long name, and the ticket runs out of space. No one has ever raised an eyebrow.

It depends how strict the country you are flying to is! I certainly would not risk it.

Checked with Aer Lingus, no issue with Mr or Mrs as long as the Christian Name and Surname are the same as the original booking

The alternative is to see if you can get a sex change operation on the NHS! ;)
