New stats after Virgin have 'done all they can' to increase the speed.
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 1152 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 63.5 db 31.5 db
Noise Margin 6.0 db 5 db
This is 'as high as it will go'.
Any comments?0 -
Thats about as fast as is possible with those line stats ( see graph, ye canna change the laws of physics!), what I don't understand is how your downstream attenuation has increased from 55db to 63db, which is a huge increase, were both sets of results from the test socket? That gum you like is coming back in style.0

That's what I thought; nothing's changed at this end!0

The attenuation of the line does increase with frequency as well as its length maybe that's it.
Looks like you will have to put up with what you have or move closer to the exchange. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
