Carla good for you trying to do something nice with your children I hope you manage to find something, some of the little caravan site can be quite cheap, we've just booked a place called bunn leisure for £100 for a mon-fri break so just keep a look out in the papers and things for cheap deals.
Sowillo I found your reply extremely rude. When people are having a tough time and are asking others for help be supportive and if you can't then quite frankly dont say anything at all.0 -
Hi Carla, it must be lovely to have your children back with you and i'm sure it will be lovely for you all to get away and have some nice days together. My mum never had much money when we were growing up so holidays were not really an option. Instead my mum did day trips, so on one day we would go to Hastings and have fish and chips, play on the beach, have some pennies for the slot machines and have a walk up the pier. On another day we would have a picnic and go to a park where we could play for hours, you could get a football or some cheap hula hoops which could be fun! We often went to gardens/historic houses, and I don't think these cost too much. I also loved it when we went to the boot fairs and got a couple of pounds to spend! We also went on a trip on a barge up the river once. My mum didn't have a car so everywhere we went was by bus or train and that was always quite an adventure in itself. I think for £70 whilst you might not be able to buy a luxury holiday I really think you could make some really fantastic memories and there is bound to be loads of things to visit near your place, perhaps could have a look on the visitor information pages for your area! Whatever you decide to do I hope you all have a lovely time0

The weekend or midweek breaks cover a whole chalet/caravan, often have most or all of the meals thrown in (or, if you've self-catering facilities you can cook cheap meals) & there's tons of free activities for the kids to keep them busy. And many offer daytime clubs or childminding facilities so you can grab a few hours to relax on your own if you need a break.
Good luck in finding something to give you all a lovely time.

thank you
I feel sorry for the children because I was raised in similar circumstances, this is now a crime is it?A fool may give advice but the one who takes it is the bigger fool.0 -
Hi Carla, I imagine if you have children who are in foster care then you probably have a social worker, ask their advice, there are a lot of charities about to help out low income families.0
