Can't access Vodafone website

Options
Hi, I hope someone techincally minded can help with this?

I have already looked at similar threads on here (and other sites), but none have given the answer to solve the problem.......

We have 2 laptops and one PC all connected to the same broadband, but none have been able to access the Vodafone website for a few days now. We have no problem with access to any other websites, and I've been able to access Vodafone at work.

I've done all the usual first fixes - deleting temporary files and cookies etc, I've even tried accessing using the IP address 195.232.193.8 (I think this is correct), but that doesn't work either.

I can't think of anything that has been changed in the last few days that would make this happen, and trying to fix it is slightly beyond my technical knowhow.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Works from here and the ip address is correct too., do you get any messages ? and also which browsers have you tried. [STRIKE]Go to the windows/start button and enter CMD and run ping www.vodafone.co.uk [/STRIKE]and see if it gets a response , forget this just tried myself request times out grrrrrr. I presume you can access all other sites eg here and google?

When I open the browser (IE), in the bottom left hand corner it shows the little magnifying glass with 'connecting to site 195.232.193.8', then after a while I just get 'Oops! Internet Explorer could not connect to online.vodafone.co.uk'

I've tried using the link in my favourites, and doing a google search but it makes no difference.

I've also tried to access through Google Chrome with no luck and yes, can access any other sites I try...

Exactly the same result as DCM here, ping times out for https://www.vodafone.co.uk and ip address.
Sorry that I can't help further, but it shows you are not alone.
I'd suggest the problem is with Vodafone.
    Move along, nothing to see.

Try using a different DNS server on your router to see if that makes a difference (don't know if it will).

Yes, myself and DCM can get the site, but the ping times out.
    Can you ping 195.232.193.8 successfully?

    OP-
I doubt that you will get a response either Voda don't like pings I would guess,
Have you an alternative browser like firefox. Erstwhile I will try on my IE

I've tried to ping, but it just says 'request timed out'

I have been able to get on at work today so I knew there wasn't a problem with the site itself.......it's all very strange!

EDIT: Out of curiosity I've just tried to connect through the wi-fi on my mobile and that won't connect either. Don't know if that makes any difference?
