    What makes me really mad is that they're having a big campaign in our local paper to "Shop Locally" and supporting small businesses.

    If anyone lives near Newmarket, I can tell you of a jeweller to AVOID. And if anyone lives near Lincoln, I can give you the name and address of a very very helpful jeweller who does a good job at a good price with good service.

    At last, the saga has ended. I went into town today and collected my repaired ring. You can't tell it's been repaired (which is obviously the point) as the stone is a perfect match. The other jeweller had eventually stumped up the £25, so I handed over my tenner and walked out with my ring on my finger.

    One very happy and relieved little Ticklemouse :D
