dla selfcare help

how can you expect a helpful answer when you dont give details?0
-
That may be the problem with your claim too - unless you spell it out to them in words of one syllable they will not give you anything.
You need to give a full detailed picture of your needs.0 -
They have a thick file been on dla for 16 yrs they know what care i need they r just wont admit they made a mistake0

They have a thick file been on dla for 16 yrs they know what care i need they r just wont admit they made a mistake ON MY RELEASe even my drs say so abnd theres thats why i was on mrc in the 1st place0
-
you obviously sont want to hear what anyone is saying, so why bother asking in the first place?0
-
DLA won't look at a thick file with sixteen years worth of reports. It is what you report now that is relevant, as care and mobility needs can improve or worsen over time.0

i recieve dla hrm and lrc i used to recieve dla hrm mrc but was reduced as they said i could self care
my question is does self caring when u dont have a choice reason enough to lower an award as u have to manage somehow and i cant find anywhere where it says otherwise
thanks in advance for any help and advice
my disablilty was crush fractured disc and vertabrae (l4 and 5 discs and vertabrae)
They usually say something like - I came to this decision because you are able, or , you are unable to do A or B. They list and explain their decision on care needs and mobility needs seperately. I need help both in mobility and care, however, I live alone and therefore don't receive a lot of the help I need. The fact that I don't actually receive help did not go against me.
Every time I have re-applied for DLA I have never assumed that they have my records to hand, my past applications etc. Also, it is pointless referring to reports from consultants a few years previous as your condition may have improved or deteriorated. Treat each re-application as a new claim although you can state if you have deteriorated since your last award and give details and examples how things have changed.
Whatever the outcome, if you are unhappy with their decision you need to let them know and this is what is stated on the decision letter. If they have come to a decision exactly how you say then you should quote from their own literature regarding this - that you don't need to be receiving help to receive DLA.0 -
Did your disability stop you commiting the crimes that you were imprisoned for?
Some crimes would be easier than others when disabled, eg, burgling would be harder than fraud i would have thought?
Since fraud is less physical?
Just musing, dont take offence please.
I read an article in the paper last year about someone with ADHD who got a motability car at 16 and drove it to his own scheduale instead of the highway code, he totalled the car in a few weeks and continued to commit both disorderley crimes and car crimes daily, then he claimed that he was without sin and it was all down to his disability and because he got HRM his IQ was under 80 (the regs on HRM say that you must recive HRC and have major developmental problems ususally defined as an low IQ) the article was in the Sunday Sun which has nothing to do with the Sun but its the local sunday paper for the north east of england.
Then there was the was the acondoplastic who used his hight to be a burgler and kept getting off even when he pleaded guilty because he claimed that prisons are like life and it is built for normal sized people, again it was in my local papers in the last year or so.
I couldnt commit any crime that involved anything that required my body to function and because Im deaf I couldnt use any voice communications but today the internet can be used for many things and with expensive voice recognision softwear I might be able to communicate better which would help if I wanted to commit crime but I cant afford the softwear needed for normal comunications, never mind anything else.0 -
