    Second hand cars have generally had all this sorted out by the time you buy them..... I fully recommend second hand cars if you want hassle free motoring.

    Simply way to solve the garb about "driving style". Ask them to lend you another Fox of a week or two and its her "driving style" then the loan car should develop the same problems in theory! ;)

    I'd contact VW UK if you are unhappy with the way the problems have been dealt with.

    At a guess, they think she's driving in too high a gear.... Which to be fair to them, is extremely common, lots of people had trouble with this when 16valve motors started to hit the market.
    Their ignorance however is not acceptable.
