I have a Samsung SBH-J700 and Vista O.S. I have tried to download my phone numbers to my PC but keep getting the message in part PRO11.MSI missing. It would appear that this relates to anything other than Vista. Is there any way I can download my phone numbers? I have search the internet for something to download but have not been successful do far.
Any suggestions, please?

You should try Googling for "PRO11.MSI missing" - don't be lazy!!!:rotfl::rotfl:
It is a Microsoft Install program - works with MS Office I believe - that is needed to install MSI files.
You can download it from here http://filespump.com/pro11-msi-file-missing.html as well as other places, but make sure you have the right one for your version of Windows and MS Office.
As I say, try googling and you will get some more information.0 -
Guys Dad, I appreciate your help and I did do a search but I didn't understand what I need. Whilst I appreciate your help, I do realise that I need to download something but it seems more complicated as I have Vista (unfortunately came with the machine, I was fine with XP). So if you allow that I am only a girl(!!) and you obviously know more than me perhaps you could go a little further and point me in the right direction, please.0

Try going to the Samsung website and download the Samsung PC Studio which should give you everything required to synch/transfer your mobile data to the PC.
Sorry, I don't have a Samsung so can't give you exact instructions.
Hope that helps.0 -
Hi, Parallax_20 I have tried this as well but my phone does not connect to the PC. I think it is something to do with Vista.0

Do you actually have MS Office 2003 installed on your Vista machine? Do you still have the installation CD for it? If you so, stick that in and do a repair of the installation or a complete reinstall. This should resolve the problem. Make sure you have installed all the latest windows updates.
Does the PC studio not install and run independently? Sync tools often use its own database, but does give the option to sync with another applications too. Try turning off the sync to Outlook (where contact details are often stored) and see what is available direct in PC studio.0 -
K:\Buffalo\Installers\Office\Office2003\ - this is one of the errors that keeps coming up and is stopping me getting on - I do not understand what is means and it is not apparently stored on my pc. Does anyone know what it means - I am getting nowhere. PC studio informs me that I am not connected and I can't get further than that. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice and nothing moves on.0

It looks like someone installed office2003 from a removable drive, but not all the features are installed. Therefore whenever you try to access a feature that was not in the standard installation it would prompt you for the installation folder of Office2003. Which you do not have access to. Unfortunately there is no way around this without a copy of the installation files to hand.
Depending on what you use from Office2003, I would consider replacing it with OpenOffice which will do most of what MS Office does for free. Remember to reboot before reinstalling the Samsung PC Suite.
Hope thats a bit more successful.0
