I've been on snowboarding holidays on my own, and met loads of people..

went through SCUK snowboard club, they organise a winter bash and you all go along and have a blast :)

i've just joined up to SCUK, there are some great benefits! i've just started lessons but maybe i'll be ready for next winter!

in terms of holidays for singles...i went on a trek america tour overland LA to New York, which was great fun. There were some couples, but most were singles. i think you have to be under 35 for some of the trips, but it looks like they have an all ages policy for some.

I found Solos very good and would recommend them to anyone. They seem to choose good hotels and have an English rep.

Just You were not so good, although I only used them once. The Hotel was in the middle of nowhere.

Saga tends to be much older people generally. I haven't used them, but met other people on holiday with them.

Hope you find something that suits you. Check out their websites and forums.

I would disagree about Solos. I went to Greece in 2006 and the accomodation was pretty basic....I had to fight to change rooms as the bathroom was so small i had to slide my legs underneath the basin in order to sit on the toilet, resulting in bruises down my legs...

Had such a battle to change the room it kinda put a cloud over the holiday. They were also very expensive. One week in Zakynthos in 2006 i paid near £700 which didn't include all my meals.

I met some nice people via Solo's that's about the only plus point.

I have heaard good reports about Friendship Travel and Spice though...

I enjoy going on my own - you always meet lots of people - and its quite difficult not to get invited to share dinner tables :)
