Vodafone do not trust a word they say.

I rang Voda enquiring about the (Goole Phone)Nexus One and asked would I be able to port my number from another network in august as that's when the contract expires he said yep that would be fine,I thought great,so placed my order as they were waiting for stock to come in and at the same time i also inquired about the Vodafone sure signal and was told as I am a pay monthly customer I would only have to pay £25.00,so i orded that as well anyway both items were delivered on Tuesday 4/5 as promised,so i thought i had better make sure that was the case that I could port my number to this phone in August the first person i spoke to said yes i could and he will make notes on my account to say that I also asked if he could put that in writing to me,he replied that he was not allowed ok I thought and you know when you get a gut feeling,so I rang them back a couple of hours later to have this confirmed and asked the person he she could check my notes on my account about a number port that booked for August,she said there were no notes requesting this and then went onto inform me that you have to complete the number port at the point of sale and if I wanted that number ported I would need another line over and above the one i have just taken out,so advised her that i have been mis sold this phone as i would not have bothered ordering it and would of waited until August after an hour on the phone trying to get this cancelled and had to end the call as they were making me late for work and asked her to email me the outcome,well they sent me an email asking me to send the phone back at my expense,I thought I am not having any of this........so i got back on the phone to them again and asked if they thought it was correct for me to be out of pocket because i was conned by one of there sales people she agreed that I should not have to and arranged CityLink to call round between 9am and 11am to collect the phone today 6/5,so waited all morning nothing then at 1.35 they decided to call an collected the phone...hooray.:)

Even more lies from Voda........ got the invoice for the Sure Signal through the post today and it was'nt £25 like I was told they now want £49.99,as I have already arranged for that to go back I have not bothered ringing them.


I thought Three were bad,but Vodafone lead the way with really poor service and blatant lies .

Would I use them again NEVER in a month of sundays.:mad:

Vodafone are the only network where you have to port your number in at the point of sale. Why, is anyones guess, and it's a ridiculous system. They need to fix it!

I thought it was within 7 days not point of sale? Still not ideal but at least gives you the Distance Selling breathing space before porting
