Deletion of Default after PPI Success????

Hey all,
Just wanted to know if anybody had been successful in having a defaulted account (of which the PPI claim had been a success) wiped off their credit history.
The way I see it is if the payments were at a reasonable figure (the PPI not added) then the account may not have been defaulted.... Im hoping to have mine removed but unsure if they'll do it??
Thanx again

not sure about this, i think it should be removed as most ppi took people over what they could afford, i wonder if its possible to go down this route, as you may need to prove you could pay the original amount? maybe someone with more knowledge of this may come along to help0

Hi there
This one may be worth posting on the debtfreewannabe thread, where I understand successful ppi reclaims have been made on defaulted accounts.
However, its understood that anything owing is used to reduce the balance, and there is no harm in giving an offer of settlement with the ppi refund.
This is actually an interesting question.
If you do post on the stated thread as on link below, and receive some useful answers on this - maybe you could post back here if you don't mind, as it may help others in the same situation, thank you so much and good luck.
