Just an update, had a letter about a week ago saying they were waiting for Dr to reply then had a letter this week telling me they have refused my claim and asking if I wanted to appeal. I really dont know what to do and if it is worth it or just to wait 6 months and re-apply?
Failure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.
If its important to you, you'll find a way - if not, you'll find an excuse ! ~ Easy to say when you take money out of the equation!

it's really difficult to comment on whether you should appeal or not as youve given very little information.
i could suggest you appeal but as far as i know, with the info youve given, you could be trying to claim for having a splinter in your finger lol.
clarify youre care/mobility needs and i'll give you my opinion! (and its only an opinion as i'm certainly no expert!)0 -
my son,s been getting dla since he was 5,he,s 13 years old now,we had to re-apply last year and it took 5-6 weeks they wrote to his doctor and consultant pediatrican, hes been awarded hrc andhrm until he,s 18.initally hrc was refused when he was 5 and we appealed and got it,which was strange as he hasnt got any better since then.he has 6 different disabilites and his care will never improve, his walking will improve a bit(has this year at new school)but he,ll never walk long distances unaided,so suprised his dla has never been made indefinte, but also saw something about the government saying to many people on indefinte awards, iam a bit worried and concerned about the new governments claims of this means tested dla,as could affect us big time??Live in my shoes for a week, then tell me your lifes hard!0

childrens claims are normally reassessed with the adult criteria age 16-18 and many are turned down, its a subject that intresets me and in many cases it makes no sense at all.
No one knows whats the coalition govermants going to do will DLA yet, they rarely do what they publish in there manifestos so we will just have to wait and see.0
