calling MSE [moved from DFW]

this site used to be very helpful and full of people willing to help and advise others with invaluable infomation.:T
recently it has changed to people just picking and not being very helpful even critising and knocking OPs:mad:
please look into this and stop it happening as people who need some help and pointing in the right direction will stop coming on here which will be a great shame

    I would say that absolutely not the case on the DFW board - so I am surprised to see that you chose this board to post it on (perhaps site feedback would have been more appropriate).

    Some of the other boards have always been harsher in the comments that you might receive but DFW has alway been a friendly community.

    However this is an open forum and is not moderated so there is little that the guys at MSE towers can do. If you see something that contravenes the rules then you should send it to abuse.

    If you think someone is being treated a little harshly then you always have the option to add your own post to try to give advice or to advise the OP to post in a different section of the MSE forum.

    I really don't think it's much worse than it's ever been...we've certainly had "MSE's not a nice place to be anymooooore" posts for as long as I can remember...

    I do. In fact personally I'm much more likely to report it if its directed at someone else rather than me.
    But I would only report definite abuse that breaks the rules as opposed to people having different opinions.
    On a forum its always hard to judge how people intend their posts to be read and some people are more curt (or succinct at least) in their answers - (I waffle far more than many). Doesn't necessarily follow that their posts are abusive though.
    That said if someone posts who is clearly very vulnerable or possibly even suicidal then hopefully most will be sympathetic and pick up on that.

    I'll move this thread over to the Site Feedback: Questions & suggestions board, where the MSE team will have a chance to see it.

    Copy and paste the address and subject into your normal web based (e.g. hotmail) email and it'll send without you having to set up all that other stuff (that being the technical term, you'll understand :A)

    Feel free to report any abuse to the abuse team, it will be dealt with if it is warranted. Even if you are unsure if it is abusive, post the link n post in question to the MSE team and let them assess the situation.

    If you are the victim of abuse, please remember;
