If a child was hit at 50 or 66, as in this case, I doubt it would make much difference. The child would be dead either way!

Seems pointless to even mention it.

I have been driving various sized vans for 30+ years, I had always "assumed" it was only the larger ones that the tacho rules applied to were the ones the speed limits applied to!

Thanks for pointing this out! It prompted a quick search for the GVW of my current van which is below 2000Kg
