Or do a stop off in Dubai (if you fly with emirates) to break up the flight. They dont charge any extra for the stopover if your flight goes through dubai anyway, you just need to pay for hotel. Well worth including it if you can, you're flying past anyway!
Interesting!
Although a honey moon in Dubai could be risky buisness - no PDAs allowed!0 -
We are going to South Africa for 10 nights followed by 4 nights on Mauritius.
Choice was based on a) picking somewhere neither of us had already been b) not 2 weeks on a beach cos figured we'd get bored c) nice weather (as it will be October) but not stupidly warm
Very excited about SA/Mauritius. Most we have ever spent on a holiday together ... and ummm is costing more than the wedding
(But we aren't going into debt for it - are using savings / being MSE with rest of lifes in run up to wedding)=====================================
MSE fan ... so that I can afford Sam, my horse :j

I wanted to go to Thailand, until i discovered it was rainy season when we get married. Then we thought we might go to Mexico, then discovered it was hurricane season....
So now... we're planning on a 5 star all inclusive Turkey holiday. Neither of us have been before and the hotels look lush.
Might go to Thailand and go backpacking another time...What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -

I wouldnt be too worried about it, they're a pretty liberal lot compared to the rest of the emirate states. As long as you're not "at it" on the beach they're fine. Plus you'd be married, so holding hands/kissing in public wouldnt be illegal.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -

Thing with Thailand is, if its raining on one side (phuket for example) then you just move to the other side (like koh samui). Rain is generally short and sharp, and more importantly its warm.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -

We're combining a week in Dubai with two weeks in the Maldives. There are lots of trips from our hotel to keep us busy, and snorkelling which we both love, besides its our honeymoon, if I have too many activities to cram in I won't stop and rest, and everyone said after the wedding I'll be more tired than I ever imagined and this was the one time to have a chillout holiday rather than a busy holiday.
We're staying at the Westin Mina Seyahi in Dubai for which is an art deco hotel on the beach in Dubai, the first one off Palm Island
Then onto a water villa at Reethi beach which is currently undergoing a refurbishment so will be snazzy and new, I fell in love when I found out it has the most dolphins of all the maldives islands, and there is a giant turtle who lives under the decks of the water villas!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0 -
