Oh yes sorry ,,the first order went fine ,it was only the more recent order ( after the phone call asking me to open an account ,which I declined )

Ok. Well stick to the advice above. Send the cheque in F&F or ask them to provide proof of you asking for an account to be opened. Also mention that you will be contacting the FOS if they don't accept your F&F offer.

I have used Very for a good few years from when they used to be littlewoods and not had one single problem, I only have praise for them, all other companies charge over £150 to deliver here, Very do it for nothing often or about £3.50. goods always delivered within 7 days and no quible whan I pay in full. I think the reason they ask for details and an account is because many of the more expensive stuff has an automatic option of buy now pay in 12 months so they have to have an agrrement set up.

They shouldn't have to make a complaint though, all they need to do is send a copy of the statement showing they paid (you can black out all the rest) and that's the end of the story.

Agreed. But the point is that they then have a formal complaints procedure within which to resolve it.

With the issue I had, it went from wally to idiot for over 2 months.
