Thurs 6th May - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Thought i should attempt this starting a thread malarky!!! :j:j:j:j
Well i am up early but can't do the cross trainer this morning as i have to write up lists of the 4 wedding places i like with the holiday prices for each of the combinations!! Then armed with that we are going in to see First Choice again. Hopefully they can actually give us a price that includes discount that is actually cheaper than online this time. Arming ourselves with a friend who used to be a first choice manager should hopefully help!!!
Right today
Make aboves lists
Vote!!! (DD's school is our polling station so no school for them today!)
lunch from stores
dinner of hm frozen curry
Take DD's swimming lessons in Mums car
check banking
Surveys
No heating on
hokey cokey
Go to First Choice and play them off against another travel agent
Thats me i think!!!
I hope every has a fantastic Election day!!

Good morning all :hello:
Today is my last day at my work placement! Can't quite believe how quickly time has flown, have been there since January and will really miss it, have learnt a lot. After this we have a week study leave, an essay, an exam, 4 weeks of lectures and then the summer off...it's getting closer!
My list for today:- Drive carefully to conserve petrol
- Have a goodbye lunch with my team
- Try to stick to SW as much as possible - put on 1lb yesterday which was deserved. Back in a positive frame of mind now and it'll soon come back off

- Weekly food shop after work
- Walk pup
- Housework
- Vote
- Phone grandparents using free minutes
- 1 hour uni reading
- Settle myself on the sofa at 10pm and watch the results come in! Hoping to last until at least 3am - very excited!

Eventually did the snowballer last night, was very interesting to see that by throwing just an extra £100 p/m my DFD gets much closer and I pay SO MUCH less interest! Only did it roughly so will work out all the interest rates properly tonight to do it. Made me feel inspired.

Morning all
Things going from bad to worse financially here and am losing motivation by the minute! Still, onward and upward...
So far today:- run washing machine overnight on cheap electric
- checked for surveys
- no point in checking bank on line as I know what it will say

- no NSD today as needed a few groceries (less than £2) and a key cut
- put 1 hour on car park ticket and got all my bits done in that time
- sent letters to CC companies and Inland Revenue offering token payments of £1 per month. They all refused in January, but my income has gone down yet again
- make dinner from meal plan - egg and bacon pie using up the supermarket eggs now that our chickens have started laying :j
- fill the oven with cookies/cakes whilst cooking dinner so only using one lot of electricity
- try to turn my face the other way up so it looks like I'm smiling

Hi all, hope everyone's enjoying the lovely weather we're having today.
Today I've...
**Recycled my phone, so £156.00 should be with me v. soon
**Done my daily scratchcards
**Filled in my spending diary
**Managed to get my deposit on my car reduced
**Browsed the forums for ways to up my income
**Checked my eBay-bies (my listings!)
**Sorted out my clothes to return - usually I leave them 'til it's too late but not today!
And later on I will vote, after finally deciding who I'm going for yesterday!
Hope everyone's having a great day.
P.S. Stitching witch, can I have a pet chicken?!
