currently on dial up,have ntl phone line. to get broadband off ntl they recommend you have 256 ram .on their broadband checker i only have 224 ram, anyone know if it will still work ok

Do you have an Ethernet port on the PC?
All you do is connect the modem up to the Ethernet port, change your internet / email programs to use the LAN (Ethernet port) and you will be using the net like you are now, just faster and without having to 'dial in'.
Just make sure you don't install anything on the CD provided, just keep it as a coaster, that CD should go anywhere near your PC.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc...
